The current passes through the housing terminal, the bimetal, and then the bottom terminal is connected to the electrical appliance (such as motor, transformer. Etc.) to form a loop. When the electrical appliance malfunctions and the ambient temperature is too high, the heat is transferred to the bimetal to achieve the corrected trip. The temperature causes the electrical contracts to be quickly disconnected from the circuit. When the temperature drops to the reset temperature, the bimetal resets and quickly closes the electrical contact connection circuit to continue the cycle.

Yes, we are factory of thermal protector & thermostat, everything is customized in our factory.

2. I am an end user. Can I replace the thermal switch mounted on my appliances by myself?

Thermal switch is an industrial component. It needs professional engineers to fix or replace it. Abnormal operation might cause hazards to the applications or even operators. So, we do not suggest end users of replacing the thermal switch. We recommend the consumer to contact the local after service staff of your appliances. Then, the appliances companies can track the part number and parameters of our thermals switch and feedback us. We will send new parts to the manufacturer of appliances for the replacement accordingly.

If you are en engineer, and make sure that you could replace the failed thermal switch by yourself, please take a clear picture of thermal switch, and write down the model number and all markings on the case. Then, we can analyze the parameters and provide our suggestion.

3. Can I get a customized thermal protector from you?

Yes. We are providing customized service for our noble customers. If you need a customized thermal protector sample, please kindly tell us the following parameters:

1) Rated voltage and Current

2) Action temperature

3) Dimensional requirements

4)Overloading or Tripping current if needed

5) Application and relevant special demands

6) Potential order quantity.

If the customized thermal protector has the same dimension as our current models, and you only need special parameters, we would not charge any cost for 5 pcs samples. If the requested dimensions are different, we may need to build new toolings for this customization. It would cause extra cost and we can negotiate separately.

4. What’s the shipping term of bimetal thermal switch?

Since all our bimetal thermal switches have small size, the shipping term should be based on the order quantity. If the order is above 50,000 pcs per shipment, the most economical shipping term is by sea. If the order quantity of thermal switch is less than 10,000 pcs per shipment, shipping by express would be the only choice because the weight of 10,000 pcs would be less than 50Kg, MOQ of shipping by air. For the quantity between 10,000 and 50,000 pcs, express or shipping by air is optional, depending on the weight of different thermal switches.
